Children’s Mental Health Week 6.2.23

In Reception the children took part in a workshop led by RISE and learned about fears and how they can make our bodies feel. The children listened to the story The Fears You Fear by Rachel Rooney and shared some of their own fears. They worked on some deep belly breathing and used a rubber duck to help them to see how much their tummies were moving as they breathed. We then practised this technique again, alongside making worry wands to be used to blow worries away and thinking about 5 people who make us feel safe.
